Alec Fisher's article an intro to critical thinking more or begins by showing a progression of critical thought though out the century. Fundamentally he defines critical thinking as analyzing the points or interpretation of an argument and trying to see if it holds up to questioning. Looking at “the rage is not about health care” I don't necessarily think that the article or comments in it are a great example of critical thought, mainly because the health car industry has huge finical reasons to lobby against health care reform and playing the race card is one trick of many that they could of used. As for the sarcastic times I think it's safe to say that John Stewart and Rachel Maddow are critical thinkers, or if not them that than at least their respective writing staffs; However I am a fan of both of their television shows so I and I don't think the sarcastic times being a 6 page article gave a decent amout of information in order to state weather the two host do indeed critically think themselves or just use the action as part of their humor.
